Tottenham Hotspur Boost Top Four Hopes with 3-1 Win over Nottingham Forest

Tottenham Hotspur boosted their Champions League qualifying hopes with a 3-1 home win over relegation-battling Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro scored the goals as Tottenham moved into the top four, leapfrogging Manchester United.

Tottenham welcomed Nottingham Forest to north London with the opportunity to move into the top four of the Premier League table. Antonio Conte's side started the match brightly and took the lead in the 15th minute when Micky van de Ven headed home from a Heung-min Son cross.

Tottenham continued to dominate the match and doubled their lead in the 35th minute when Pedro Porro found the net with a stunning strike from outside the box. Nottingham Forest pulled a goal back in the second half through Brennan Johnson, but Tottenham held on to secure all three points.

The win sees Tottenham move into the top four, one point ahead of Manchester United. Nottingham Forest remain in 19th place, three points adrift of safety.

Tottenham will be looking to continue their good form when they travel to Manchester City next weekend. Nottingham Forest will be hoping to pick up some points when they host Leeds United.
