The 2024 NFL Draft is still a long way away, but that doesn't mean we can't start speculating about who the top prospects will be. CBS Sports NFL experts have released their latest mock draft, and there are some surprises in store.
The top overall pick in the draft is projected to be C.J. Stroud, a quarterback from Ohio State. Stroud is a 5-star recruit and the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2023 class. He is considered to be one of the best quarterback prospects in recent memory.
The other top quarterbacks in the draft are Bryce Young from Alabama and Arch Manning from Texas. Young is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, while Manning is the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2023 class. Both quarterbacks are expected to be taken in the top 5 of the draft.
The rest of the top 10 picks in the draft are expected to be filled with defensive players. Will Anderson Jr. from Alabama is projected to be the No. 2 overall pick, followed by Jalen Carter from Georgia and Kelvin Banks from Texas. All three players are considered to be elite prospects at their respective positions.
